Possible Cowboys targets at WR, CB on display in these 5 college games in '24

The 2024 college football season kicks off in exactly two months. And while fall is a great time of year for enjoying tailgates, marching bands, and varsity border rivalries, it’s also when die-hard fans start to get a real look at the next batch of players bound for the NFL.

This season will see top prospects at every position every single Saturday, but some select matchups will offer an opportunity for pro clubs to do some serious one-stop scouting, with big names to know on both sides of the ball and on either sideline, often squaring off against one another in the most important games that will decide the college playoff bracket.

While no one can say for sure which positions will be at the top of the Cowboys’ shopping list come April 2025, it’s safe to assume that wide receivers and cornerbacks will get plenty of consideration. These two spots consistently rank among those that the Cowboys prefer to dedicate significant numbers to, and both rooms are likely to have a starting job open up following the 2024 campaign.

Here are five key college games to watch this fall that should provide valuable tape on several of the most highly-anticipated wide receivers and cornerbacks in the 2025 draft class.
