Cowboys 2024 training camp practice #11 (Rams) live thread: Updates and open discussion
Our open thread for discussion for Dallas Cowboys practice is now open. It will be updated with everything you need to know as it all unfolds (we’ll do this every practice, too).
Another practice at Dallas Cowboys training camp is here. We’ll open threads for every practice so that the Blogging The Boys community will have a place to congregate and discuss what is going on at practice.
Unfortunately, dropping a Twitter List into this page no longer functions the way that it used to due to changes that the platform has made. We do have a list we recommend if you want to follow it in another tab. You can access it right here.
In order to keep the flow of things as smooth as possible though we’ll be dropping in updates and news items in this thread. Give us your take on them in the comments.
Editor’s Note: This post will be updated throughout practice with relevant news, information and highlights. The newest ones will be placed at the top so if you miss practice or want to see/read in chronological order make sure to scroll down to start.

Brock Hoffman was involved in an altercation of sorts. Zack Martin was apparently (?) somewhat injured, but thankfully appears to be alright.
One snap after Zack Martin is on the ground and screaming a profanity before walking off field, center Brock Hoffman involved in a skirmish with Rams defender.

Martin injury didn’t appear significant.
I (along with @IamSTANBACK) predicted Brock Hoffman would be the one the probably start the first scuffle.

More updates for today.
Notes from Mike McCarthy ahead of Cowboys-Rams joint practice:
— Nick Harris (@NickHarrisDC) August 8, 2024
- Trevon Diggs will work only on individual drills
- Tyler Guyton will give it a go
- First-team will get a lot of burn today in place of preseason time
- Preparation started between McVay & McCarthy started in March…
What to expect today.
Mike McCarthy said the plan for the scrimmage against the Rams today is to get quality work and there will be two special teams segments and a two minute segment toward the end. He wants to see the interior DL/OL get some work. pic.twitter.com/FYbLujxYj7

Trevon Diggs will be held out of parts of today’s joint practice.
