Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders, 2023 NFL Week 18
Keep track of everything related to Cowboys at Commanders in NFL Week 18 as Dallas visits Washington on Sunday afternoon.
We have reached the final week of the regular season and it is a big one for the Dallas Cowboys.
Thanks to everything that has happened to this point, all the Cowboys have to do is win on Sunday afternoon on the road against the Washington Commanders and they will win the NFC East while taking the #2 seed in the NFC.
But no wins in the NFL are easy which means Dallas will have to show up and show out. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are coming off of great performances, but it would be great to see Tony Pollard have some success the week before the playoffs start. In an overall sense, seeing Mike McCarthy call a solid game and not give the team an extra chance at the end would also be preferred.
Defensively the Cowboys have been bouncing back since the Buffalo Bills embarrassed them a few weeks ago (save for the final possession against the Detroit Lions). Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence will need to continue to dominate the trenches while DaRon Bland, Stephon Gilmore and others patrol the secondary.
The Washington Commanders currently hold the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and likely want as good of a pick as they can get, but losing is never fun. It stands to reason that Dallas will get the best effort from whoever starts at quarterback, Terry McLaurin and all the rest.
