Look: 1 Game Stands Out On The Cowboys' 2023 Schedule

The Dallas Cowboys' 2023 regular season schedule features a number of challenges, on paper.
First, there's back-to-back games against the rival New York Giants and Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets to open the season. In October, right before Dallas' bye week, they have back-to-back road games against the 49ers and Chargers, both playoff teams from last year.
The Cowboys also have back-to-back NFC East games against the Eagles and Giants in November and finish the season with three out of four games on the road.
The first game of that four-game stretch to close the year is against the Bills in Buffalo. That's the one contest that stood out the most to Cowboys VP Stephen Jones when he first looked at the slate.
"Obviously that’s a great homefield advantage for the Bills, especially in the winter. They’re a great football team. That’s obviously more than likely going to be pretty cold," Jones said Wednesday, via ESPN's Todd Archer.
What was Stephen Jones' first takeaway with the Cowboys' schedule? "Buffalo. In December ... Obviously that’s a great homefield advantage for the Bills, especially in the winter. They’re a great football team. That’s obviously more than likely going to be pretty cold."

The Cowboys have actually dropped back-to-back games to the Bills in 2015 and 2019. They still lead the all-time series 8-5 though, with two of those wins famously coming in Super Bowls during the 1990s.
Dallas and Buffalo will play this year on Dec. 17 at 4:25 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
It will be dark and cold, and there could be plenty of playoff implications riding on the outcome.
