Cowboys fans are fairly pleased with this offseason
The Dallas Cowboys have been active this offseason in both trade and free agency. They still have more work to do, and the draft will play a large part in how that goes. But we’re in a breakpoint of the offseason now – the rush of free agency is subsiding, and we still have a month before the draft. It seems like a good time to evaluate what Dallas has done so far.
We won’t recap everything that has been done so far, you can find a good rundown of that here. We will highlight the trade for Rashan Gary, the signing of Jalen Thompson, the re-signing of Javotne Williams, the non-exclusive franchise tag for George Pickens, and a second-round tender for Brandon Aubrey as some of the bigger moves made. They also jettisoned Osa Odighizuwa for a third-round pick.
After all that, plus other moves that quietly helped the team, we asked you to grade the offseason so far.A majority (53%) gave it a ‘B’ while another large chunk of fans gave it a ‘C’ (33%). So 86% of fans gave the Cowboys a mid-level B-C grade. Not bad, but not exactly the ‘bust the budget’ performance Jerry Jones promised. If the Maxx Crosby deal had happened, we might have been looking at a different grade.
After all of these recent moves by the Cowboys, our friends at FanDuel have Dallas at +2200 to win the Super Bowl. That puts them in the 14th spot in odds to win it all, which kind of lines up with the B-C grade they got in our survey.
What’s you take on the Cowboys odds to win it all this year?
