Is CeeDee Lamb playing today? Injury news update for Cowboys wide receiver
The Dallas Cowboys are out of their minibye and returning to action. Facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football, a contest that originally looked like a battle of championship contenders instead is a fight for playoff positioning. Right now both teams are hovering around top-10 selections, but that doesn’t mean this contest won’t have plenty of intriguing action.
In fact, the two defenses coming to AT&T Stadium mean there’s likely going to be a chance for a high-scoring affair and to participate, Dallas is in need of their No. 1 receiver, CeeDee Lamb.
Fortunately for Dallas, Lamb’s shoulder injury that kept him limited in practice throughout the week does not seem to preclude him from suiting up, as he did not carry an injury designation this week. He should play as long as the shoulder isn’t re-injured.
The fifth-year wideout entered Week 14 tied for second in the NFL in receptions with 79, gaining 880 yards and scoring four touchdowns. He lost the lead in catches after hauling in just two of six targets on Thanksgiving, in a win over the Giants when he had three drops. The shoulder may be impacting his play and concentration, but it’s unlikely the Cowboys can win any offensive war with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and company if Lamb doesn’t go ham.
