Cowboys big underdogs as they try to play spoiler to the Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys are big underdogs for their game in Philly. Consider that Dallas has covered in each of their last two games.

The Dallas Cowboys couldn’t win when the season still mattered, and now they can’t lose when their season is over. Dallas has won four of their last five games, and should have won the fifth if not for the botched punt block against the Cincinnati Bengals. They won’t make the playoffs, but they are also inching away from a premium draft pick. Such is life in 2024 as a Cowboys fan.

This week, the Cowboys get a tough assignment. They have to go on the road and face the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles. Philly could have clinched the division on Sunday, but they dropped a game in the last seconds to the Washington Commanders. The Eagles will try to take care of that NFC East business this week versus Dallas.

In that Commanders game, Jalen Hurts left with a concussion that leaves some doubt about his status for Week 17. Regardless, the oddsmakers have the Eagles as big favorites. FanDuel places Philly as 8.5-point underdogs.
