Cowboys roster: Brandin Cooks, Marshawn Kneeland both officially designated to return
The Cowboys could be getting Brandin Cooks and/or Marshawn Kneeland back soon.
Reinforcements appear to be on the way for the Dallas Cowboys. Sort of.
It was reported on Wednesday morning that the Cowboys have officially opened the 21-day practice windows for two players currently on injured reserve in Brandin Cooks and Marshawn Kneeland.

Their 21-day window is now open.
The Cowboys last saw Cooks play for them during their win against the New York Giants way back on September 26th. It was 10 days later that they last saw Kneeland, he left the win against the Pittsburgh Steelers early.
It goes without saying that any help is welcome for the Cowboys right now who have yet to win a game in general since that Steelers one almost two full months ago. Getting Cooks back will certainly help provide a spark to the offense, but getting Kneeland back so that he can have more opportunities as a rookie is certainly important relative to the future.
For what it is worth, the Cowboys opened the 21-day practice window for cornerback DaRon Bland prior to their game against the Detroit Lions which was the last game before the bye. That was six weeks ago and Bland has yet to play, so we shouldn’t read too much into something like this.
