Cowboys vs Lions inactives: Caelen Carson, Deuce Vaughn out again
Caelen Carson remains OUT for the Dallas Cowboys. Here is the full list, plus the Detroit Lions side, ahead of Sunday’s game.
The Cowboys are getting ready to kick off against the Lions, their final game before the bye, and it appears they’ll be more than happy to get the time for rest and recuperation. Their inactive list once again features several players dealing with injury:
Both Micah Parsons and Eric Kendricks were ruled out earlier this week, so it’s not a big surprise to see either of them on this list. Parsons missed last week as well, and there is optimism that he’ll be able to return following the bye week.
Caelen Carson is out with an injury for the third straight week, a bit of a surprise after the developments at cornerback lately. DaRon Bland had his practice window activated this week, and there was initial belief he would play today. But Saturday brought news that Bland would be shelved until after the bye week, making it a bit of a shock that Carson isn’t ready to go either.
Joining the three injured Cowboys on the inactive list are Deuce Vaughn, Matt Waletzko, John Stephens Jr., and Trey Lance, the latter of whom is the designated emergency quarterback. This is now the second straight game where Vaughn has been a healthy scratch.
As for the Lions, they enter this game rather healthy. Their inactive list is all healthy scratches, which isn’t exactly surprising for a team coming off their own bye week.
