Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown says Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis is ‘crazy’ trash talker
According to Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jourdan Lewis is a crazy trash talker.
There is passion within sport. Emotions run high when stakes are being fought for, and throughout the course of an NFL season that is literally every second of every game.
Some people handle this a certain way, others choose to go down a different path. People have opinions on what is or is not the best and most proper course of action. At the end of the day everyone is playing to win the game.
According to Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, a certain member of the Dallas Cowboys takes things to a different kind of level. St. Brown was recently on The Pivot and in discussing players who talk trash on the field was particularly strong in the assertion that Jourdan Lewis is ‘crazy’ in that capacity.
“One guy that comes to mind is… Jourdan Lewis I think is his name. From the Cowboys. I don’t talk much unless someone is going to talk to me. I block hard. I do all that. But he was talking crazy. Some [stuff] I’ve never heard before. I’m like yo… hold on. I’m going to have to go hard on this… he was talking crazy out of the pocket. JaMo heard it too, he was coming in. At that point it’s like, I don’t know what he’s saying. I’m trying to make plays, win the game. I’m not worried about him. But once he starts talking like that… if I do get a chance to kill him, I’m gonna kill him.”
Last season’s game between the Cowboys and Lions did not end on terms that the latter enjoyed all too much. You will recall that the Lions had a player who was ruled to have had an issue with reporting prior to a two-point conversion that likely would have won the game for Detroit. The Lions ultimately still went for the conversion despite taking a penalty, even if they disagreed with it, and did not get it and wound up losing.
The game was incredibly consequential in the tiebreaker of the NFC playoff picture, although with Dallas losing in the Wild Card Round it hardly mattered with regards to any sort of rematch. For what it is worth, after the Lions beat the Los Angeles Rams in their own Wild Card matchup some of their players told the broadcast that they were hoping for a rematch with the Cowboys.
Whether or not any of that had to do with any of this is pure speculation. St. Brown seems to simply be talking about Lewis being an intense trash talker.
Interestingly this clip appears to have made its way to Lewis himself. He shared a bit of it on his Instagram story and added this text afterwards.
Lewis also addressed it on X/Twitter.
This is exactly what im talking about. Dude brought my name up off the field and the mfs not from the city of detroit saying something to me.

Lewis is from Detroit and played for the Michigan Wolverines so he is about as through and through as it gets here. He seems to be taking a bit of an exception to Amon-Ra St. Brown being a Lion himself and not being from Detroit.
The Cowboys host the Lions this year on October 13th so we have an opportunity to see these two do battle with one another. It will be interesting to say the least.
