Unhinged fans, bad jokes, cake: How Cowboys' opponents announced their 2024 schedules

The 2024 schedule release video Olympics are in the books, and the Chargers have won gold once again. The Bolts’ Sims-themed masterpiece thoroughly savaged everyone from Taylor Swift to Harrison Butker, but since the Cowboys don’t face the Chargers this season, they avoid getting skewered by the team’s brilliant social media department.

But 14 other teams had plenty of opportunity to stick it to America’s Team with their own videos. Some of them capitalized, while others went a different direction. Mimicking social media trends was a big theme this year and not just for the Cowboys, who did the surprise FaceTime prank call thing (with mostly mixed results). The newest batch of videos also featured hyper-realistic cakes, embarrassing man-on-the-street interviews, lots of artwork being created on-camera, and not one but two (!) teams using hydraulic presses to crush things. (And then there were the Giants, who totally phoned it in.)

Here’s a look at how the Cowboys’ 2024 opponents chose to reveal their regular-season schedules, and how some of them used the moment (or not) to try to land an early jab.
