Not-Bad Built Body: Late Cowboys pick hopes to stick in house race for NT snaps

The Dallas Cowboys are in need of help at the nose tackle position; just ask anyone with a pulse. Only they didn’t address the position with any sincerity in free agency, nor on the first or second day of the 2024 draft. They waited until the seventh round to select Justin Rogers with the No. 244 overall pick. Rogers played college football for both the Kentucky Wildcats and the Auburn Tigers.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing a solid 330 pounds, Rogers is a prototypical nose tackle with a wide base, strong core, and enormous hands. He’s a gap dominator and double team eater in the middle of the defensive line, not easily pushed around. His selection by the Cowboys adds much needed depth to their defensive line, while fitting the new defensive coordinator, Mike Zimmer, mold of being big and physical up front.
