Cowboys to hold joint practice with Rams prior to the Week 1 preseason game
The Cowboys are set to hold a joint practice with the Rams before their preseason matchup.
There are still about two months to go until the Dallas Cowboys will be in the middle of training camp, but eventually bags will be packed and planes will be headed west for Oxnard, California where the Cowboys will hope to at long last forge the path to Lombardi Trophy number six.
Whether or not the season ends that way will be a question that we answer a very long time from now, but it will begin in California in many respects, and particularly with the team’s first preseason game on the road against the Los Angeles Rams.
It was reported on Thursday that the Cowboys and Rams will practice against one another prior to the preseason tilt.
The Cowboys and Rams will practice together Aug. 8 in Oxnard, Calif., during training camp, according to two sources. The teams play Aug. 11 in the preseason opener at SoFi Stadium.

It is quite common for NFL teams to practice against one another and the Cowboys have done so with the Rams several times. Remember that in 2021 their matchups were featured on Hard Knocks when the Cowboys were being chronicled.
At the time there was a lot made about how the Cowboys were faring against the Rams, the same ones who would go on to win the Super Bowl later that season.
