5-year redraft sees Cowboys lose Parsons, replace Lamb with Jefferson

The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the league’s better drafting franchises over the last 15 years. Even before Will McClay took the reins in 2014, the team had already grabbed Tyron Smith and Travis Frederick in the first rounds of 2011 and 2013 respectively. The 2008 and the 2010 class both ranked in the top-10 of drafts under Jerry Jones. Continuing in the tradition, the 2020 through 2024 classes have brought the team some of their current cornerstones, WR CeeDee Lamb and DE Micah Parsons.

Taken in back-to-back drafts, 2020 and 2021, the two are set to reset their respective markets when they ink new deals, more than likely both in the next calendar year. Recently, Bleacher Report ran an exercise where they did an ultimate redraft, selecting players from any of the last five draft classes and assigning them to teams in a random order via lottery.
