6 Cowboys you forgot were still on the team, waiting to make debut
The Cowboys are about to welcome a whole new batch of players to the team. Hope springs eternal for the prospects, with each imagining himself as the missing piece that will push America’s Team over the top to their sixth Lombardi Trophy.
For the team’s fans, the bar is set a little lower, but maybe only slightly. Every draft pick is expected to come in and prove the scouts right, and each undrafted free agent carries the hopes of an entire fanbase on his shoulders as he embarks on a long and hard road toward realizing his football dream.
But in addition to the Cowboys’ 2024 draft class and the roster of UDFAs who will be brought in just over a week from now, there are, in fact, others who are also still waiting for their blue and silver debut. They’re not rookies, per se, but they have yet to step into the spotlight as full-fledged members of the Cowboys.
These six Cowboys are still waiting to record their first snap with the club. And in that regard, they could be considered part of this year’s rookie class, patiently biding their time until they finally get to step on the field wearing the star and etch their names into the franchise’s history books.
