Longhorns prospects on display for Cowboys OC Brian Scottenheimer at Texas pro day

The NFL’s coaching and scouting staffs were stretched thin and spread across the country on Wednesday, as no fewer than four of the nation’s true blue-blood programs- Ohio State, USC, Alabama, and Texas- all held pro days on their respective campuses.

While head coach Mike McCarthy took in the workouts in Tuscaloosa, it was offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and a handful of scouts who represented the Cowboys in Austin. The Longhorns had 13 draft-eligible players participate, although some were there just to conduct interviews.

Several will likely hear their names called in the early rounds, but there’s always value to be found on Day 3 as well… and the Cowboys have needs up and down the roster. Here’s a look at just a few of the Texas prospects who Schottenehimer and the Dallas scouts may have been watching.
